Safeguarding and Child Protection
At Lonesome children's health, safety and welfare are a key priority and we take our responsibilities in these matters very seriously.
All members of staff, governors and volunteers hold a current DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate and are regularly trained in safeguarding and Child Protection matters. The school has good links with an attached school social worker who we ask for advice and support from.
All new members of staff undertake rigorous pre employment checks and our recruitment follows the Safer Recruitment guidelines to ensure all of our adults are safe to work with children.
Please find attached the Lonesome Safeguarding pledge, details on who our designated safeguarding leads are and information for parents regarding photographing and videoing children in school.
