Transforming Families Parenting Support is pleased to present our latest schedule and suite of 'holistic' parenting interventions for Merton parents with children of ages 8 - 18 years of age.
We continue to raise the profile on parenting support and empowering change with the introduction of new and inspirational programmes HOPE, GREAT and Hands Free Domestic Abuse Awareness Workshops. Our aim is to promote aspirational parents to engage and take up personal development and holistic parenting courses, as everyone needs 'more' help with life's most important job parenting!!
We continue to provide evidence based parenting programmes HFP, SFSC, ESCAPE, which will resume in the new year 2018.
Transforming Families Parenting Support Suite of Current programmes as follows:
H.O.P.E - Helping Other Parents Excel is a 10 weeks personal development programme, delivered in two modules part 1 and 2. Adopting an 'Holistic' approach promoting Family Management and Life Planning and Self Management. HOPE introduces the concept of parents being 'Family Managers, who have enormous influence over their children and partners and family members; and adopt the same principles and procedures used in Business Management and Leadership skills, underpinned by life coaching tools and techniques.
By the end of the programme each participant will leave with their own personalised Family mission statement and a working document life plan to give them direction and keep them focused to live a more balanced and fulfilled life on their own terms. Commence: Tuesday 26th September 2017. Time: 10.30 -1.00pm
G.R.E.A.T - Gangs Resistance Empowerment Awareness Training is a 4 week pilot programme borne out of the growing concerns that Children as young as nine are being drawn into gangs, often to deliver or store drugs. (Research published by the Home Office suggests).
Parents will lean how to become more street wise to keep their child safe at school and on the streets. Commence: Friday 29th September 2017 Time: 12 Noon - 3.00pm
Hands Free Workshops - Hands free is a domestic abuse workshop, to be delivered raising the awareness around the issue of emotional and physical domestic abuse, experienced by
parents and young people that often remains unaddressed within the home with many victims suffering in silence. This workshop will be facilitated by TF sessional worker Veronica Simpson who is IDVA trained. Commence: Thursday 5th October Time: 6.00pm - 8.30pm

My name is Charlotte and I'm a leader from the 4th Mitcham Brownie Pack, we're based in Pollards Hill Baptist Church and meet every Wednesday evening during term time. We currently have space in our pack for more girls (aged 7-10).
